A Midsummer’s Dream, is a free entrance festival that asks its participants to bring food donations as their entrance fee.
The entire message, the entire meaning of A Midsummer’s Dream is based off of the teaching of the great soul and Guru Neem Karoli Baba.
When he was asked by Ram Dass, how does somebody become enlightened, his answer was simple and profound. “Serve People, Feed People”
Every year, we hold a food raiser for local food banks and we are calling upon our dreaming tribe community to look through your cupboards, open your hearts and donations food items to A Midsummer’s Dream this year.
The summer months in particular are very hard on food banks and we want to do our part to support the community.
Don’t know what to bring? We have some ideas below from Food Banks Canada.
It’s like this, we all must do our part to help out our community. And as a collective we can do so much to help everybody. Just think about all of the lives we will help, all the families we will help, all the good energy we will create. It’s up to us, and the people of our dreaming tribe, to help and contribute. We want to make this year count, its our 5th anniversary, its a big milestone, lets give back to our local food banks in a BIG way! Let’s tip the scales on this one! Come on! We can do this!
See you on -August 20th- at Gage Park. Remember to bring food.
